Food and Fun at Chez Micheline.

Hi Everyone,

wow! Weeeee've had a such a super duper fanteddytastic trip that I don't know where to start. 21 days of travelling, 4 stops, over a thousand miles of driving, witnessing a robbery and seeing tons of brill things. Arghhhhhh!!!!

I should start at the beginning but there's so many good bits in the middle, and then there's the fantastic meal we had at the end. Oh I know! I'm going to start at the end, cos that's when we met a very, very nice man who was very, very funny.

It was 2 days before we sailed back. We were living in French France, in a Keycamp caravan at Bernie Riviere, by a brilliant big lake. Do you remember we blogged from there last May?

Mr.P said we were going out to a brilliant restaurant to have a meal. It wasn't very far, so we walked there in about 25 minutes.

It was an absolutely brilliant place that had a bar, a little shop that sold loads of stuff and a restaurant, all in the same building.

Can you see me and Charlie standing in front of Chez Micheline? Don't we look small?

It was 7 o'clock when we got there, but still lovely and warm, so we asked if we could sit in the garden.

The nice man said yes and then he gave us a book full of French France words, called a menu. When Charlie told me that there were English words as well, we   managed to pick our food and the very nice man brought us our drinks.

For starters, that's what they call the food you have to start, we had different things. Charlie had a mushroom pancake and I had a bowl of very hot soup that was super scrumptious.

When we had finished the starters, we had a chat with the nice people on the other tables and 2 of the children asked if they could have their photo's taken with us. Charlie is very shy, but I like being famous, so we said yes.

Then the very, very nice man brought us our main course. That's what they call the food you eat after your starters and before the pudding. We had the same this time, lamb and chips! It was absolutely yummy scrummy.

Gosh it took ages to eat so much food. We didn't think we could fit in a desert, that's what they call pudding in restuarant words.
Well, we decided we might as well have a look at the desert menu just incase.

Then we spotted the most fanteddytastic pudding in the whole wide world. It had Charlies favourite in it and mine. Orange Sorbet with a Gooey Chocolate Foundant, Chocolate Sauce and Cream. Yaba Dabba Dooozy! What a pud! It was 10 o'clock by time we finished.

We had a great night. Mr.P said that it was the best restaurant he's ever been to and he's even had a meal with Mrs.C on the Champs D'Elysees in Paris. The starters were very nice, the main course was awesome and the pudding was too dreamy for words, but the best thing about Chez Micheline's is the very, very, very nice man. He was very funny and spoke really good English words, for a French France man. When we asked him to have a photo with us, he dressed up special.

Wonderful weather, good food, great company and a late night! What a brill way to end our Spain to UK roadtrip. If you visit Chez Micheline please say hello to the nice man for us. I'll be back soon to tell you about the rest of our adventure.

Bye for now,

Tiddy x

  1. We were there that night at Chez Micheline. You might not believe us but Charlie and Tiddy are real bears and did actually eat all the food. I think they stopped short of eating the snails and frogs legs but we would thoroughly recommend Chez Micheline. Bon appetite!
