Paris!

Charlie here!

Tiddy is so excited about our trip to London that he has forgottten that we need to tell you more about our trip to France. He's such a forgetful bear!

One day, we went to Paris on a bus. Tiddy has some pictures of the bus. I'll get him to show you them. Can you see the Eiffel Tower?

It is 324 metres tall! It's a lot bigger than the tower we visited at Blackpool. You can see it behind Tiddy in this photo. It is made of metal and was built as a way in to the World Fair in 1889.

Here's Tiddy by the Arch de Triumph. It is in the middle of a roundabout and is a very noisy place to be. There is a stairs so you can climb to the top, but I was a bit scared to go up so high.

Here we are at Notre Damme cathedral. It is on an island in the middle of the river Seine, the big river that runs through Paris.

It was a very hot day, so we had a sit down on this hedge. Lots of people were smiling at us. I think they like bears, so I smiled back.

This was my favourite bit of Paris. It is a shop called Galeries Lafayette. There are lots of smaller shops inside a huge, beautiful building. Can you see the shops behind me? It was so pretty, it made me smile.

When I looked up, there was an amazing glass domed ceiling. There was pretty glass in it and it made a lovely pattern. I wanted my photo taken by it. Tiddy wanted to climb up for a closer look, but I told him not to, as it was too high even for Tiddy to climb!

I hope you enjoyed our trip to Paris. I'll be back with more about France soon.

Tiddy and the Lion?

Hi Everyone,

Did you guess where I went with the lions? It was Trafalgar Square, where Admiral Lord Nelson's statue stands on the top of a huge, huge, huger than huge stone pole, called a column.

They put it up because he was a very clever  Admiral. In 1805, he won the Battle of Trafalgar, when we only had 27 ships and the other side had 33! His ship was called Victory, which I think is a very good name cos he won.

I know they're not real lions, but they are big and very famous. Charlie liked having her picture with the lion, but I wanted to have a closer look, and do a bit of climbing.

Can you see where I climbed to? I think it's the absolutely craziest place I've climbed to so far!

Lot's of people stopped to see me climbing up the lion, and some of them took my photograph.

I had an absolutish teddytastic idea when the people started to take photo's of me. I'd do a Nelson and have a column of my own. There was this perfect lampost in just the right place, but Mr.P thought I'd get bored, and I think he was right.

So I climbed back down and headed off for another place with a Navy connection. Can you guess where I went next?

Back soonish,

Tiddy on The Bridge!

Hi,

I'm back again!

Did you guess where I went next?

That's right it's Tower Bridge!

It's the most famous bridge in London.
It's made in 2 bits so it can open up to let big ships up the River Thames.

Can you guess where I'm off to next? There's  lions there .....ooooh, scary!

Back soon,

The Wrong Rupert!

Hi Everybody,

told you I'd be back soon, cos I've got tons of bloggingable stuff to tell you all about. I was really excitedable on Tuesday, cos I thought I was going to get a chance to see one of the best Celeb Teds in the whole wide world. I heard that Rupert was going to be in the London the same day as us! I went straight to The House of Commons to see him.

The clock was pretty posh for a common house. I wonder what their posh house looks like. Anyway it was only half past 11 and Rupert wasn't going to be there til 2 o'clock, so Charlie and me had time to to pose for pictures and a bit of climbing.

It was when I climbed this fence I could see the police man with a big gun! Then, I went round the front to climb another fence and I started to think I wasn't going to get in to see Rupert after all!

I'm not sure what a section 128 is, or why it is serious to organise your crime, but it's got something to do with the police and acting and it happened in 2005. Anyway, because of all this stuff, I couldn't get in. In fact Mr.P said if I didn't stop climbing I might get in big trouble!!!

Well, I think it's really silly to stop us climbing and visiting our friends, when teddies never hurt anybody.

Anyway, I found out off a man with a huge camera, that it wasn't Rupert Bear, but someone called Rupert Murdoch, who was coming. He wasn't really famous to me, but he had to be there to say sorry about some naughty stuff or something. Whatever, I was off to climb something else.

Can you guess what I climbed next?

Back soon,

What do clever people do?

Hi Everyone,

we're back from our latest travels. Did you guess where the posh place, full of clever people was? It was Cambridge University and it was full of clever people, who spent most of their time trying to sell us a trip on the river!

They've got lot's of different names for the places where the clever people do learning. This one was called Kings College.

Do you think I'd make a good king?

Another thing I learned about the clever people is that they all ride bikes! There was loads of them everywhere. Except on the grass, cos they was not allowed.

I also noticed that the Cambridge clever people like Teddies.

They didn't only like Teddies, they liked lots of toys and, cos the clever people were big, they had some really big toys!

We had a fantastical time looking around all the places the clever people go. We even found that some of them lived on boats!

Well I've got to go now, but I hope you've enjoyed learning about the clever people as much as I did.

Back soon,

On The Beach!

Hi Everyone!

I'm back to tell you a bit more about our foreign France trip. One day, we went to the beach at Le Crotoy. We had to go 20km on our bikes, so we needed a rest when we got there.

When we were all rested, we went on the massively huge beach and had it all to ourselves! Honest, we could see sand for miles and only us to play on it.

We had a brilliant time playing on the sand and decided to make our mark before we left.

I think Charlie did her name a bit too big, but she says I stood to close to take the picture.

Anyway, we all know it's Charlie, don't we?

Bye for now,

Well, good news! Tiddy is very clever, and he has managed to get himself an email account. If you would like to send us a message, but Blogger wont let you, please use Tiddy's email  address.

It is

Our new friends!

Charlie here !

When we were in France, we couldn't make a lot of friends, as most people spoke French. I can't speak French, and Tiddy was a bit too shy to use the words he knows.

That didn't matter when we met these friends! They spoke different to us. They quacked! It sounded a bit funny.

These two ducks looked the same. They were always together, just like Tiddy and I. I think they were best friends.

The ducks were nearly as big as us! It was a bit scary at first, but then we realised they wanted to be friends. Can you see the bread we put down for them to eat?

Before they left, we said, 'Goodbye!' and they said, 'Quack!'. I think that meant goodbye. I wonder if they look at our blog to see what we are up to?
Bye for now!

Tiddy's Interesting Things!

Hi Everybody,

thought I'd take a break from all the sight seeing and foreign French words to show you some brilliantly interesting things I saw on my trip.

I had such a great time searching out all the crazy stuff like pine cones and fungi and things.

I liked the fungi best. I called them funguses, but Mrs C said fungi was the proper word.

When I was in the woods finding things, I made a Tarzan swing out of ivy. It was great!

My last interesting thing was so cool. We were walking passed this BBQ house thingy and I got the urge to go climbing, and guess what I found?

I found a mammy pigeon sitting on a nest! How cool is that?

That's all for now, but Charlie will be back soon to tell you about our close encounter.

Bye,

Tiddy x
